Hi there!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, and thanks for stopping by!

It’s so nice to meet you! I’m Madilyn McClain, a St. Louis-based artist, musician, and graphic designer who’s passionate about creating, whether it’s through painting, music, or even a DIY project.

I’ve always loved making things—it's just in my nature! While I primarily focus on realistic portraiture, I love mixing in abstract backgrounds to tell stories and capture the emotion behind each piece. Whether it’s acrylics, oil paint, watercolors, graphite, or charcoal, I strive to bring out intricate details like reflections in metal, really diving into the narrative behind every face I paint.

When I’m not working on portraits, you can usually find me playing bass or writing music for my band, Dead Space Derby. You can check us out on Spotify or follow us on Instagram @spacederbyband. Fun fact: I also handle all the branding and design for the band, combining my love for graphic design with my passion for music.

Beyond the art and music, I’m a big fan of knitting, sewing, and throwing clay (I love to experiment creatively in all forms!). I stay active by kayaking, swimming, running, and lifting weights, all while drinking way too much coffee. I’m also a bit of a medieval fantasy geek, a true crime podcast enthusiast, and I can never turn down dumplings!
